Winemaker Notes

This delicious Rioja comes from one of our favorite, small, family owned producers in Spain, Bodegas Perica. Their Vina Olagosa Crianza and Reserva Riojas have been shelf staples for years and always over-deliver on the price/quality spectrum. The new 6 Cepas is no different. Sitting somewhere between a Rioja Tinto and Rioja Crianza, the wine sees some time in oak, but not much of it new and not the full 6 months required for Crianza. The result is a Rioja that is much more complex than your average Tinto for about the same price.

Intense ruby red in color, the palate is a harmonious combination of red berry notes with those of a spicy and toasty nature. Strong structure combines with soft tannic expressions for a long, pleasant bouquet.
